CODEBREAK
About the daily CodeBreak on DailyClue
CodeBreak is a code-breaking puzzle based on the classic pencil-and-paper game Bulls and Cows. Somewhere is a hidden four-digit code. All four digits are different and the first digit is never 0, which leaves exactly 4,536 possible codes. You have 8 guesses to find it, and your guesses follow the same rules.
Reading the clues
Beside each guess two circles appear. The green circle counts digits that are correct and in the right place; the yellow circle counts digits that are in the code but in a different place. The clues tell you how many, not which digits earned them, which is what makes it a puzzle. A guess that is refused (a repeated digit, a leading 0, or one you already tried) does not cost you a try.
How the daily code works
A new code arrives at midnight India Standard Time (IST, UTC+5:30) for every player. You can play CodeBreak once a day. Your progress and statistics are kept on your own device; there is no account.
